The PathWise Process: Our Instructional Design Approach

A collaborative framework designed to transition learners from foundational theory to real-world regulatory application.

Step 1: Strategic Analysis & Alignment

Our process began with weekly consultations with the C&E Collaborative to map the 10-session program to specific behavioural competencies and provincial regulatory standards.

We focused on identifying the “Path for Change” by ensuring every module addressed the unique day-to-day interactions of auditors, inspectors, and investigators.

Step 2: Creative Design & Development

Our team architected the learning journey by developing comprehensive facilitator scripts, high-impact slide designs, and custom assessments.

We ensured that even complex regulatory material was easy to understand, visually engaging, and simple for instructors to deliver effectively online.

Step 3: Interactive Implementation

We transformed passive content into active experiences by building out scenario-based breakout sessions and hands-on digital workbooks.

Applied Learning: By simulating “safe and controlled” environments, we allowed learners to practice critical skills and network with colleagues across the province before entering the field.

“It was a pleasure working with Pathwise to develop the Compliance and Enforcement Foundations training program. We had an ambitious plan to complete 10 courses and 30-hours of training material with a limited budget and resources and the team at Pathwise was integral to the success of the project. We enjoyed a positive and collaborative working relationship and we are pleased with the quality of the final product.”
